Impact of the COVID-19 outbreak on book publishers in Norway 2020
Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) oubreak, most of the Norwegian book publishers are financially negative affected. This is the result of a weekly survey among member companies of the Norwegian Publishers Association (Forleggerforeningen). In week 16 of 2020, half of surveyed publishers said that they already laid off employees, which was an increase compared to the previous weeks. Additionally, 80 percent of respondents stated to have postponed their book releases.
