* Tonne-kilometer: a tonne-kilometer (tkm) is a unit of measurement corresponding to the transport of a tonne of goods (including packaging and tare of intermodal transport units) by a means of transport (road, rail, air, sea, inland waterways, gas / oil pipeline, etc.) over a distance of one kilometer. Only the distance traveled on the national territory of the reporting country is taken into account for national, international and transit transport (Eurostat definition).
