The source understands production value as the amount generated for each unit, including changes in inventories and the resale of goods and services. The value of production is defined as turnover or turnover, plus or minus changes in inventories of finished products, work in progress and goods and services purchased for resale; less purchases of goods and services for resale, plus capitalized production, plus other operating income (excluding subsidies). Income and expenses classified in business accounting as financial or extra-ordinary are not included in the value of production.
