50 percent of Germans did not consider their own health to be at risk because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, based on a survey conducted among the population in May 2022. The first confirmed coronavirus case in Germany was registered in January 2020 and since then the virus has spread throughout the country, infecting people in every federal state.
