On March 1st 2020, the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BET) index registered a drop of -9.67 percent largely influenced by the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country. By the 15th of March 2020, the Bucharest Stock Exchange already reached a drop of -17.6 percent on the stock market, being one of the lowest drops since the financial crisis in 2007.
