In 2018, ** percent of women and ** percent of men aged between 25 and 34 years in England had been diagnosed with asthma, the highest prevalence for both genders across the age groups. Asthma is a disease of the lungs which usually starts in childhood, and although there is no cure for the disease most people can live active lives with treatment controlling their symptoms.
