According to a survey conducted to understand the opinion among Indians on the coronavirus COVID-19, about 72 percent of respondents stated that they are staying alert and taking precautions. On the contrary, 16 percent said that they did not believe that the virus can impact them or Indians at large. The country reported over a thousand cases on March 28, 2020. A lockdown was enforced on March 25, 2020 for 21 days, the largest in the world, restricting 1.3 billion people.
