In the first half of 2025, out of approximately **** million registered automobiles in South Korea, over **** million burned gasoline for fuel, while another **** million had diesel engines. While conventional combustion-based engines comprised the majority of registrations, the number of environmentally friendly hybrid, electric, and hydrogen vehicles continued to carve out their presence in the market.
