In 2021, French Internet users were asked if they accessed online national and international news through either tablet, smartphone or computer. In total, ** percent of the respondents aged 35 or below reported getting information through the Internet, compared to ** percent of the people aged 35 and above. Half of the respondents below ** used their smartphones as mean of connection to the online world in contrast to ** percent for the older sample. The use of computers came in second in both age groups, followed by the tablet.
