While soccer has never been able to break into the mainstream within the United States in the same way as the "Big Four" sports leagues (NFL, NHL, NBA, MLB), there is still some interest within the country in some of the biggest soccer leagues worldwide. During an October 2020 survey, some 22 percent of respondents stated that they were very interested or somewhat interested in the English Premier League, the top soccer league in England.
