A survey conducted in February 2020 in Great Britain about the threat to public health presented by selected viruses revealed that 60 percent of respondents considered the novel Coronavirus to be a threat for public health in the country. Of all the viruses that Britons were surveyed about, they considered Coronavirus to be the greatest threat to public health, followed measles which 50 percent of respondents believed was also a threat to public health.
The novel Coronavirus is very prominent in the media at this time, with over 382 thousand confirmed cases of the disease worldwide as of March 24, 2020.
