At the beginning of the **** season, the English Premier League introduced Video Assistant Referees (commonly known as VAR) to all matches. Within many professional sports, this technology is not new. For many years, rugby union, rugby league, tennis and cricket have utilized digital assistance to ensure that the rules of play are followed. This statistic shows the results of a representative survey of the British Public on VAR, presenting the opinions of British adults on the efficacy of the use of VAR within each of these sports. Within all four sports presented, the majority of respondents indicated that VAR had worked very well, particularly so within tennis with ** percent of respondent.
