The number of outbound tourist trips from France bounced back in 2022, following a sharp decline with the onset of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. That said, trips abroad for either leisure or business purposes remained below pre-pandemic levels. Overall, the number of outbound leisure trips reached around 23 million in 2022, whereas work-related trips abroad from France totaled nearly 3.5 million.
