During a survey fielded in Chile among people aged between 18 and 29 at the end of 2022, approximately ** percent of respondents said social media platforms were the medium they trusted the most. Websites that do not belong to newspapers ranked third, mentioned by ** percent of the interviewees, while WahtsApp ranked higher than that, at ** percent. Some ** percent of respondents said they did not trust any media. Social media was also the medium young adults in Chile spent the most time with in 2022.
