The Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Index (TTCI) aims to measure the factors and policies that make it attractive to develop the travel & tourism sector in different countries. The index is made up of four sub-indexes: Enabling Environment; Travel and Tourism Policy and Enabling Conditions; Infrastructure; and Natural and Cultural Resources. 136 countries are evaluated. The Index scores on a scale from 1 to 7 with 7 being the best rating.
In 2019, the infrastructure of Brazil received a Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Index score of *** out of seven. That year, the sub-index with the highest score was natural and cultural resources with a score of ***, one of the highest scores in this category for Latin American countries.
