According to a survey conducted in Singapore in June 2019, ** percent of respondents who were subject to physical discipline while growing up also carried out corporal punishment at home on their children. Until today, it is not illegal for parents to physically discipline their children in Singapore. There were 584 cases of physical abuse of children investigated in Singapore in 2018.
