Male and female respondents in Russia had significantly different opinions regarding the change in the regulation against the domestic abuse in the country. 67 percent of women were against categorizing household violence as an administrative offense rather than a criminal offense, compared to 45 percent of men having the same position. Approximately a third of men in Russia saw the legislative modification positively.
