According to a survey conducted in summer 2018, over ** percent of Japanese stated that executing transactions conforming to corporate compliance and adhering to corporate social responsibility (CSR) regulations is an important aspect in the procurement and purchase of goods. Despite the sudden increase in importance, a sustainable development still falls behind of business operation related aspects like cost reduction of indirect goods and the procurement of quality controlled products.
