In 2023, the ANZ Bank had the largest number of employees of the major banks in New Zealand, employing around people, while the Bank of New Zealand had roughly personnel working for them. The number of workers also affects the personnel costs of the major banks, with employees costing the ANZ Bank around *** billion New Zealand dollars in 2023.Â
