Men in Mexico were sligthly less likely to face extreme poverty than women. In 2022, it was estimated that 7.2 percent of the female population in Mexico lived in extreme poverty, while 6.9 percent of men were considered to be in the same situation. Regarding poverty, Mexican women that year were also more likely to face it.
