The source adds the following information; "The 7,500 survey respondents came from 15 regions worldwide, inclusive of Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, U.S. and UK.
Survey respondents were commercial and private lines business through C-Level / Employee split.
 Companies were from a wide spread of industries, with revenues ranging from one million U.S. dollars to five billion U.S. dollars.
Company sizes ranged from under 10 employees to over 2,500 employees."

From the major regions surveyed, at least ** percent of respondents from their respective country noted their company was inadequate in defending itself from cyberattacks. Confidence in China was the lowest, with ** percent of respondents stating firms are inadequate in defending against cyberattacks, roughly eight percent higher than the average of ** percent. Italy had the highest amount of confidence in firm's ability to defend against attacks, with ** percent of respondents stating they did not believe their company was adequate in defending against attacks.
