According to the data provided by , in 2018, Belgium and Luxembourg recorded the highest value in terms of Italian exports of medicinal products, even though it reached *** billion euros following a gradual decrease.
On the contrary, the value of pharmaceutical preparations exported from Italy to the U.S. increased from *** billion euros in 2013 to *** billion euros in 2018. Also, the value of products exported to Switzerland – the third largest destination country for Italian medicinal products – steadily increased over the three years considered.
