Between 2012 and 2016, Russian passenger and light commercial vehicle production shrunk roughly twice in volume. Namely, figures fell from *** million units in 2012 to *** million in 2016. Nonetheless, production volumes started to grow again after 2016 and, in 2019, roughly *** million cars were produced across the country.
