While the 2025 European Accommodation Barometer signaled an economic growth plateau in the region, investment intent tells a different story in Asia-Pacific. Hoteliers in APAC show stronger plans to invest than those in Europe, with Japan leading all markets surveyed in investment intent.
According to the survey, 59% of Japanese hoteliers plan to invest more in the next six months compared to the previous six months. Australian hoteliers also show strong investment confidence, with 48% planning to invest more while only 13% expect to invest less. By contrast, hoteliers in the European Union and the United Kingdom appear more cautious about near-term investment.
The 2025 Australia Accommodation Barometer is the third study of hoteliers conducted by ÌÇÐÄÆƽâ°æ in collaboration with Booking.com, surveying 250 accommodation executives and managers from across Australia. Click here to download the full report.
