Despite the United Kingdom no longer being a member of the European Union, negotiations between London and Brussels are far from over and a plethora of questions remain to be answered. One key point of uncertainty has been the fate of the UK's 73 seats in the European Parliament. According to data , 27 of the UK's seats will be split between 14 Member States while the remaining 46 will be placed in reserve for nations aspiring to join the EU. As a result of Brexit, the European Parliament is now six percent smaller.
