Beer in Latin America and the Caribbean - Statistics & Facts
What do water, malted grains, hops, and yeast have in common? They are all ingredients of one of the most popular drinks in the world - beer. This fermented drink has become so beloved, that its production reached a volume of over 1.8 billion hectoliters in 2023. Nearly half of it was manufactured in only five countries. Though China and the United States lead the market in terms of production, Latin American countries such as Mexico and Brazil are also considered among the top producers. Together, both nations brought over 290 million hectoliters into the market that year. Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, and Peru were also among the countries with the highest beer revenue in the world.
