The advent of PCs with enhanced artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities is set to rejuvenate the PC industry. AI PCs, computer systems that are configured to handle AI and machine learning tasks more efficiently, are expected to command a growing share of the PC market in the coming years. PC vendors have experienced a turbulent period, suffering from successive years of shipment decline before growth of just over one in 2024. However, with a refresh cycle and the integration of AI in effect, the first positive shoots of growth were laid bare at the start of 2025.
