Textile and clothing industry in Germany - statistics & facts
Textiles and clothing are segments that make up an enormous industry, and they in turn have various segments of their own. Collective revenue of the textile, apparel, leather and synthetic fiber industries in Germany amounted to 24.43 billion euros in 2023, which was not a significant change compared to the year before. Textiles accounted for the largest share, followed by apparel. While clothing is a textile product as such, textiles themselves include many other categories, both for domestic use and technical purposes, e.g. in machinery.
