The Messi vs Ronaldo debate has gone on for many years, with pundits and fans arguing over which player is truly the greatest of all time. Messi, from Rosario, Argentina, spent most of his career at Barcelona before moving to Paris Saint-Germain, and then to Inter Miami. Regarded as one of the all-time greats, he has won the highest number of Ballon d’Or awards out of any player. Meanwhile, UEFA Champions League top scorer Cristiano Ronaldo has played for a number of elite clubs, and has also broken numerous records. While there is seemingly no personal animosity between the two, the high standards set by each player have inevitably pushed each other to become the best.
