 Industry overview

The mineral water and soft drinks industry experienced a growth over the past few years. The analysis of the balance sheets of a significant sample of companies active in this sector revealed that the net revenues, the production value and the earnings before taxes (EBT) showed some fluctuations between 2016 and 2023. During the seven years, the EBT grew from *** to *** million euros. In 2023, the net revenues and the production value of the sampled companies amounted to and million euros, respectively.  

 Soft drinks and mineral water consumption

The consumption of bottled water peaked in 2022, when it reached close to ** billion liters. The same cannot be said for the level of consumption of soft drinks.
