In 2021, approximately 24.8 thousand people died from cerebrovascular diseases in Spain. These brain disorders affected mostly groups of the Spanish population aged 75 and older, especially those between 85 and 89 years old, which registered roughly six thousand deaths as of that year. Individuals from 90 to 94 years followed, recording about five thousand deaths due to cerebrovascular diseases in the European country.
