The registered number of deaths caused by nervous system disorders experienced an overall increasing trend since 2006, when the number of fatalities due to these conditions amounted to around 15,700 . As of 2022, consumption of drugs acting on the nervous system in Spain reached almost 350 dosages per 1,000 inhabitants.
