All respondents were born between 1981 and 1998 and are therefore considered millennials and digital natives.
In January 2017 the study 鈥淓goTech鈥 was conducted among roughly 1,000 respondents of the target group millennials (18 to 35 years old) by the successful full service agency for digital marketing and sales solutions . First respondents had to take a psychological online test to allow a classification of their personal narcissism. According to this classification, the survey among the so-called natives about various topics such as digital technologies, social media and usage of apps took place. The result is a broad profile of data regarding millennial attitudes, interests and consumer behavior. Additionally the connection between the degree of narcissism and usage of digital technologies is established. For comparison 1,000 older Germans who are not part of the millennials generation, but of the so called Generation X, born in 1965-1980, or the Generation Baby-Boomers, born in 1945-45, were interviewed. These respondents are considered digital immigrants.
