According to the study, Italy could lose between *** and *** percent of its suitable wine growing area by 2050, depending on the forecast scenario. In terms of surface, this would correspond to to hectares of vineyards area. Estimates for 2080 reported even higher values. By 2080, up to *** hectares of vineyards area could be lost due to climate change.
