According to the source, room occupancy rate is compiled based on daily rooms
occupied against daily rooms available for sales in respect of hotels and guesthouses which responded to the Hong Kong Tourism Board鈥檚 monthly Hotel Room Occupancy Survey. Rooms under repair or being refurnished are excluded.
According to the Hong Kong Tourism Board, 鈥淗igh Tariff A鈥 hotels have a composite score between 3.00 and 3.99 according to the Hong Kong Tourism Board classification system, where the score is based on facilities, location,
staff-to-room ratio, achieved room rate and business mix. This is the highest standard of hotel classification by the Hong Kong Tourism Board for hotels in Hong Kong of a total of four ratings.
