Compared to the North East of Italy, people from the North West were more accustomed to taking public transport daily. In fact, about a quarter of respondents living in the North West (comprising Lombardy, Piedmont, Liguria, and Aosta Valley) used public transportation every day or nearly every day, compared to 14 perecent in the North East.
