A total of 144 river basins were monitored in the last three years from 1,353 monitoring stations, 143 river basins in 2018, and 140 river basins in the years before that.
In 2022, the number of clean rivers across Malaysia amounted to 108, the same as last year and the highest number during the period measured. In 2020, there were 104 clean rivers out of the total of 144 river basins that were monitored.
