The number of light vehicles sold in Mexico dropped below * units in April 2020, a decline of more than **** percent compared to the sales volume reported during the same month a year earlier. The severe slowdown in automobile demand is related to the health emergency declared by the Mexican government at the end of March 2020 due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Since then, light vehicle sales in the country increased. In December 2024, nearly ** units were sold, which represented a growth of *** percent compared to December 2023.
