The median venture capital (VC) deal size in Europe for all stages increased between 2010 and 2023, with some fluctuation. Later-stage capital investment had the highest median deal size for all years included. From 2018 to 2021, the median amount of later-stage capital investment doubled, reaching *** million U.S. dollars as of the end of 2021. In the fourth quarter of 2023, this figure had decreased to *** million U.S. dollars, which represents the largest median amount of VC invested among all other stages.
