This statistic shows the results of a survey question regarding ownership of Bitcoins or similar digital currencies in the Benelux countries (Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands) in 2018. Bitcoin is a so-called cryptocurrency, a digital currency that uses blockchain technology as a means of security. During the surveyed period, respondents from the Netherlands indicated the most they owned some cryptocurrency. When compared to the European consumer, consumers from the Benelux region indicated less they owned Bitcoin or a similar digital currency.
