*The source adds the following information "Under the Reference Case – i.e., assuming the continuation of existing and planned policies – IRENA estimates that the EU-28 would reach a 24% renewable energy share by 2030. This is below the currently proposed 27% target and would represent a substantial deceleration in the rate of renewable energy deployment compared to the previous decade. The REmap analysis identified significant cost-effective renewable energy potential that could be realised by 2030 to reach the proposed 27% target and go beyond"
