The province South Holland was estimated to have the largest number of unemployed that year, at approximately * – or ** times as many as Zeeland.

   Of the Benelux countries, the Netherlands had the lowest unemployment rate. By comparison, in 2017 Belgium’s unemployment rate reached just over percent. In Luxembourg, unemployment was *** percent that year.
