This study is survey based and was conducted by Colombia's National Administrative Department of Statistics (DANE). According to the . Supporting and auxiliary transport activities include in general terms:
- The operation of storage facilities.
- Activities complementary to transport, such as the operation of infrastructure for transport (for example: airports, ports, tunnels, bridges, etc.).
- Activities related to cargo handling such as loading and unloading.
- The activities of transport agencies and freight forwarders services.
The values from 2014 to 2016 were taken from previous editions.
