This statistic illustrates the preferred parking spot when travelling to the airport in the Netherlands in 2017. The most used parking spot is the (valet) parking lot within a certain distance, being used by over half of people who come to the airport by car. This often involves a shuttle bus, or a valet option, which means people drive with their car to the departure hall, surrender their keys, whereafter the car will be driven to the parking lot within a certain distance by an emloyee. Over a quarter of the Dutch holidaymakers who come to the airport by car preferred to leave their car at the closest parking lot. Other parking spots included park and rides, a hotel and parking combination and parking in a residential area in the neighbourhood.
