* The contractual eligible for the exceptional session of the 2013-2014 competitions were not counted in the number of teachers (public and private sectors) in the 2014 edition of the RERS.

As of 2011, the island of Mayotte is included in the data.

The source adds the following information:

In 2008, the staff of institutions having acquired their autonomy in higher education were not taken into account."
