This statistic shows the outcome of a survey done on the opinions on a flexible retirement age among employees in the Netherlands, in 2017. The AOW scheme is an insurance scheme which covers everyone who lives or works in the Netherlands, regardless of nationality and is a basic state pension. As a rule, everyone who has reached the AOW pension age and lives or has lived in the Netherlands is entitled to this. It is paid under the National Old Age Pensions Act or AOW. As of 2017, roughly ** percent of the Dutch respondents indicated that they are in favor of a flexible retirement age for all employees.
