In 2019, the regular air passenger traffic between Mexico and the United States was led by three major U.S. air carriers: American Airlines, United Airlines, and Delta. Combined, these companies transported approximately 13 million air travelers between airports in the two North American countries. The leading Mexican airlines covering these routes was Volaris, with roughly 3.5 million passengers.
