During the 2019/20 crop year, approximately **** million hectares were forecasted to be planted with beans in Brazil, down from **** million hectares of the previous crop year. This is the lowest value reported in the country since crop year 2015/2016. Despite the decline, beans are still the third largest grain crop in Brazil based on planted area, after soy and corn.
