The number of domestic and international overnight stays in the Italian metropolitan city of Florence rose in 2021 over the previous year, after having declined sharply in 2020 due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Overall, Florence recorded nearly *** million domestic and *** million inbound overnight stays in 2021. Although these figures show an increase compared to the first year of the health crisis, the volume of domestic and international overnight stays remained way below pre-pandemic levels.
