Car sharing companies

Sharenow was the car-sharing company with the largest fleet size in 2019, present in various Italian cities. Apart from the established players, there are many other local companies such as BlueTorino, which offers fully electric cars in Turin.

The arrival of motorbike sharing

Shared mobility continues to grow in scope and is no longer limited to car-sharing and bike-sharing services. Between 2017 and 2018, the number of motorbikes made available by vehicle sharing services increased more than fourfold, passing from about *** to units. This increase was mainly due to the arrival of electric motorbike sharing services, which provided mre than vehicles combined. Micromobility is available in only a handful of cities, such as Milan, Rome, and Verona. As a result, it continues to be a niche service: according to a 2018 survey, only *** percent of Italians had heard about the European motorbike sharing company eCooltra.
